Couran Cove Island Resort is located on South Stradbroke Island, and is about 40 minutes by ferry from the modern ferry terminal at Hope Island - just north of Queensland's Gold Coast.

Set in peaceful natural surrounds, Couran Cove is a unique Australian island resort which features pristine white beaches, majestic rainforests and an abundance of native Australian wildlife.

Established as an Eco Tourism Resort in 1998, Couran Cove is the winner of many Environmental, Architectural, Tourism and Catering awards, and offers a range of activities to suit a variety of age groups, a choice of excellent dining options and provides an ideal family holiday.

Due to the relaxed atmosphere and range of sports facilities available at the resort, it hosted many Olympic athletes during preparation for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.  It was a privilege to be at the Resort at that time and see a variety of flags from different countries draped from verandas on individual properties and from various other places around the Resort.
