Our property is located in the Resort’s Streeton precinct (areas of the resort are named after famous artists), approximately halfway between the main resort facilities and the surf beach. The island “train” stops right outside our door at set times throughout the day.

Eucalypt woodlands and rainforest trees have created a unique environment in which the Eco Cabins are situated.  The cabin’s design ensures that the surrounding bushland encompasses and feels part of the living space with the screened verandas, yet at the same time providing protection from local wildlife and the elements.

Accommodation

Also known as a "Kites Nest Cabin" or by its precinct name & room number “Streeton 5404”, the property has three main levels.  A spacious Family Room and second bathroom are located on the lower level, as is the front fully screened veranda (with gas barbeque).  The dining room and well equipped kitchen are located on the middle level along with another screened veranda.  The two bedrooms are located on the upper level along with the main bathroom.  A single bed is located on a mezzanine level know as the “Kites Nest”.

Bedding

The property normally sleeps up to 6. Two bedrooms are located on the upper level.  The main has 1 queen bed, the second has 2 single beds, a single bed is on the “Kites Nest” mezzanine, and a single sofa bed is located in the downstairs Family Room. A single fold-out bed is also avalailable if required (total of 7 beds).

Towels & Linen

The cabin is stocked with sufficient towels and bed linen for most families.  If additional supplies are required during your stay, these are available from Housekeeping for a nominal charge.

Bathrooms

There are two bathrooms  - one upstairs and one downstairs.  Each has a shower, toilet and vanity plus plenty of storage for all your needs.

Kitchen

The kitchen features refrigerator with freezer, microwave, toaster oven, and a four-burner gas hotplate.  There is a corner pantry for you to store all your food requirements.  We provide cutlery & crockery for six place settings, plus an assortment of glasses and mugs. There is a selection of cooking utensils, pots, pans and bowls including barbeque tools so you can enjoy the gas barbeque on our enclosed deck. There is also an iron and ironing board provided.

TV & Internet

A colour TV with a selection of free-to-air channels and a Beach Cam (enabling you to check out the Surf Beach) is located in the downstairs Family Room.

Broadband Internet is available in the cabin via a “pay as you use” service.  Wireless internet is also available around the main Resort restaurant and administration area.  Coverage is available for Mobile Broadband Internet services from major Australian carriers from the cabin and most areas around the resort.

Telephone

A phone is available in the cabin for calls within the Resort.  Coverage is available for mobile phones from major Australian carriers from the cabin and from most areas around the resort.  Public phones are also available if required.

Laundry

There is a guest laundry available with coin operated washing machines and dryers.  Enviro-friendly detergent and change can be obtained at the general store. There is a small clothes line on our deck.
